Scottish Women’s Premier LeagueInverness City completed their league campaign with a defeat at Forfar but they can take a lot of consolation after a battling performance. There was little between the sides in the first half with neither keeper being tested before Forfar took the lead on 42 mins. The second half was more open with Kim Jappy making a couple of fine saves and at the other end Natalie Bodiam and Hannah Gordon both came close to equalising before Forfar wrapped up the points in the 62nd minute with a second goal. Inverness can take a great deal from their efforts towards the end of the campaign in securing eighth place in the league. Several youngsters were introduced during the course of the season and will have gained valuable experience for the future. The Women now enter the close season although they will continue to play 5 a side football throughout the winter before resuming pre season training in January. TeamKim Jappy, Beth MacDonald (Becky Dingwall 78 mins), Megan McCarthy, Marnie McCarthur, Sarah Main, Hannah Markley (Megan Gillies 74 mins), Zoe Johnstone, Kirsty Deans (Emma Paterson 59mins), Lorraine Cadden, Natalie Bodiam, Hannah Gordon.
