Scottish Women’s Premier League

Inverness City turned in a much improved performance in defeating relegation threatened Falkirk. The opening goal arrived on 10 mins when Lorraine Cadden netted the first of a sparkling hat trick when she beat the Falkirk keeper with a spectacular 25yard strike. Natalie Bodiam and Lisa Mckenzie both came close to doubling the lead but were thwarted by fine saves by the keeper.

The second half was only five minutes old when City doubled their lead. Lisa Mckenzie produced a perfectly flighted cross for Cadden to bullet a header into the far corner of the net for a fine goal. Falkirk then forced Kim Jappy to produce a couple of fine saves before the points were made secure on 70 mins. Kirsty Deans was upended in the box and Cadden stepped up to slam the resultant penalty into the net to complete her hat trick.
