Scottish Women’s Premier League
Inverness Ladies completed their season when they travelled to face League champions Glasgow City. Despite a spirited first half performance which saw them trail 3-0 at the interval, the Highland side were taken apart in the second half as City stepped up a gear and showed what a class act they really are. Inverness LFC Manager Sandy Corcoran said “ We are extremely proud of the efforts and commitments of the players during the course of the season and a 7th place finish in our first full season in the SWPL is a real achievement for our young squad.” He added “Year after year Glasgow City continue to raise the benchmark in Women’s football, they are without doubt the best footballing side in the League and are worthy champions. Everyone at Inverness Ladies wish them all the best in next season’s European campaign where I am sure they will do Scotland proud”.
