Scottish Women’s Premier League
Inverness Ladies picked up another three points with a late comeback against Kilmarnock. After a bright start which saw young Hannah Gordon open the scoring in the first minute and Karen Mason strike the crossbar Inverness were made to pay for several missed chances when Killie levelled from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time. Inverness pressed forward at the start of the second half but were caught out on 51 mins when some hesitant defending allowed Kilmarnock to take the lead. Inverness poured forward in search of an equaliser and with 20mins remaining Lisa Mackenzie had a goal disallowed for offside. With 12 mins remaining Inverness turned the game on its head with two goals in two minutes. Firstly Megan McCarthy levelled the scores with a strike from the edge of the box and then Natalie Bodiam beat the keeper in the air to head home a fine goal. The lively Bodiam wrapped up the points in the final minute.
