Scottish Women’s Premier League
Inverness Ladies made heavy weather of defeating a very determined Dundee United. After a slow start it was the home side that made the breakthrough after 11 mins. Inverness created and missed several scoring chances with Becky Dingwall, Lorraine Cadden, Kirsty Deans and Zoe Johnstone all failing to find the net as the first half ended with United still 1-0 ahead Inverness poured forward in the second half and eventually equalised on 65 mins when Becky Dingwall forced the ball home. As the visitors went all out for the winner they were caught out as Dundee raced up field and regained the lead on 70mins. The outstanding player on the park, Lisa Mackenzie, burst through on 79mins to net the equaliser and it was left to club captain Karen Mason to net what proved to be the winner on 84mins.
