Scottish Women’s Premier LeagueInverness resumed their league campaign after the mid season break with a narrow 2-1 defeat to Hibernian. After some early pressure from the Edinburgh side, Lorraine Cadden stuck the post with a 25 yard pile driver before Kim Jappy produced a couple of fine saves. Hibs eventually took a deserved lead on 41 mins with a fine goal following a corner kick. Inverness levelled on 51 mins when Lisa Mackenzie scored from the edge of the box before Hibs almost snatched the lead when they struck the crossbar. The game looked to be heading for a draw before Hibs snatched the winner with 10 mins remaining when the ball took a wicked deflection off Sarah Main and flew past the helpless Jappy.
