Scottish Women’s Premier LeagueInverness Ladies produced their best ever result when they held a Hibs team that was loaded with Scottish international players. The hosts went on the attack from the start and the highland side’s defence restricted them to a couple of long range efforts before the opening goal arrived in 25mins. Inverness continued to work hard and stopped Hibs from playing their normal silky one touch football and were rewarded when Natalie Bodiam headed a perfectly flighted free kick from Zoe Johnstone which flew in off the far post after 33 mins. The second half saw Hibs mainly on the attack but the central pairing of Karen Mason and Megan McCarthy remained solid and on the few occasions that Hibs got through, keeper Kim Jappy just wouldn’t be beaten.
