Scottish Women’s Premier LeagueInverness Ladies were soundly beaten in their opening Premier League game by a very impressive Spartans team in Edinburgh. The opening goal arrived after three minutes and although Natalie Bodiam struck a post with a brave header shortly afterwards the Highland side were rarely seen as an attacking force. Kim Jappy produced a couple of fine saves before Spartans doubled their lead on the twenty minute mark. The second half was one way traffic towards the Inverness goal and a further four goals underlined the gulf in class between the two sides.
