Scottish Women’s Premier League Inverness Ladies picked up their first 3 points in the premier league with a hard fought victory over Bouroughmuir. The first half was a pretty even affair with Leanne Calder and Natalie Bodiam both coming close to opening the scoring and keeper Kim Jappy dealt comfortably with a couple of long range efforts from the home side. Bouroughmuir struck the cross bar on 50 mins as play raged from end to end. Inverness scored what proved to be the winner on 56mins when Lorraine Cadden sent a perfect through ball to Bodiam who coolly lobbed the keeper for a fine goal. Both sides continued to fight hard and the ever alert Bodiam almost made it 2-0 when she rounded the keeper only to see her angled shot kicked off the goal line. Inverness dealt comfortably with a late rally from the home side and ran out deserved winners. Team Kim Jappy, Sarah Main, Karen Mason, Megan McCarthy, Molly Alexander, Laura McLeod, Finella Annand, Lisa Mackenzie, Lorraine Cadden, Natalie Bodiam, Leanne Calder (Zoe Johnstone 60 mins) Unused: Claire Mackay, Kirsty Deans.
