Scottish League Division 1 Inverness Ladies saw their League Championship hopes all but disappear when they were held by Glasgow Ladies last weekend. The Highland capital side travelled with only ten players after a few late call offs. However, the hard earned point still keeps them on track for promotion. Early exchanges were pretty even before the Glasgow side took the lead on 29 mins. Leanne Calder almost got the equaliser but their was no further scoring before half time. Inverness stepped up a gear in the second half and came close on a couple of occasions before Natalie Bodiam forced home the equaliser on 60 mins. Calder fired the visitors ahead five mins later when she accepted a quick throw in from Lorraine Cadden and beat the keeper at the near post but within a minute Glasgow equalised. Finella Annand twice came close to netting the winner but time ran out for Inverness despite their late dominance. Team Kim Jappy, Sarah Main, Karen Mason, Claire Mackay, Lorraine Cadden, Finella Annand, Lisa Mackenzie, Rebecca Dempster, Natalie Bodiam, Leanne Calder. Fixture: 05-Apr-2009 |
