Scottish League Division 1

Inverness Ladies saw their League Championship hopes suffer a huge set back when they surrendered a two goal lead against Celtic. The Highland side had their Glasgow counterparts on the back foot for long periods in the first half and Lisa Mackenzie and Leanne Calder both missed good chances before Mackenzie opened the scoring on twenty nine minutes with a fine turn and shot from the edge of the box. Inverness kept driving forward and they doubled their lead on the stroke of half time when Finella Annand burst into the box and squared to Calder who netted with ease.

Celtic pulled a goal back on fifty six minutes when Inverness conceded a needless free kick on the edge of the box and their striker fired it high into the corner of the net. Rebecca Dempster almost restored the two goal lead but her well struck shot cannoned off the bar and rebounded to safety. Inverness were punished for failing to take their chances when Celtic equalised with eight minutes remaining.
