Inverness Ladies strengthened their promotion hopes with a resounding victory last weekend. Early pressure was rewarded when Lisa Mackenzie opened the scoring on 8 mins and the lead was doubled when Rebecca Dempster netted with a fine drive after 20 mins. Inverness pressed forward on numerous occasions and it was no surprise when Finella Annand made it 3-0 with a vicious close range drive. The visitors went to sleep at the start of the second half and Cowdenbeath pulled a goal back on 50 mins, but within a minute Lorraine Cadden burst through and made it 4-1 with another blistering drive. With 12 mins remaining player of the match Finella Annand completed the scoring when she swept home an inch perfect cross from Cadden.
