Scottish League Division 1 Inverness Ladies stepped up their promotion push with a comfortable victory in Edinburgh. Rebecca Dempster fired them ahead after only two minutes on a mud bath of a pitch. Flowing football was impossible and the referee considered abandoning the match but after consulting with both managers he allowed the game to continue. Inverness then passed up several chances with Natalie Bodiam and Leanne Calder both guilty off glaring misses and they were made to pay on 39mins when Tynecastle equalised. However Inverness regained the lead within a minute when Lisa Mackenzie fired them ahead with a fine strike from the edge of the box. Player of the match Finella Annand made it 3-1 on the stroke of half-time. Inverness dominated the second half and Leanne Calder atoned for her earlier misses and netted a sparkling hat trick to send the Highland side into the winter break hard on the heels of leaders Rangers. Team Kim Jappy, Sarah Main, Dawn Fraser (Claire Mackay 60mins), Karen Mason, Molly Alexander, Lisa Mackenzie,Finella Annand, Lisa Glennie, Rebecca Dempster, Leanne Calder, Natalie Bodiam ( Nicola Ross 63mins).
