Inverness Ladies continues their push for promotion with a well deserved victory last weekend. Tynecastle squandered a great chance to take the lead on 15 minutes when they were awarded a penalty kick, but their striker sent it wide of the post. Inverness took the lead six minutes later when Sarah Main burst through a sent a venomous shot high into the roof of the net. A devastating five minute period before half time saw Inverness net three times to put the game beyond the Edinburgh side. Firstly Leanne Calder swept home a fine cross from Rebecca Dempster and within a minute she netted again from a cross from Julia Scott. Finella Annand made it 4-0 on the stroke of half time. Inverness continued to pour forward in the second half and within five minutes Lisa Mackenzie found the net before Tynecastle pulled a goal back on the hour mark. Finella Annand netted her second on sixty four minutes before Leanne Calder showed the defence a clean pair of heels to complete a well deserved hat trick.
