Scottish League Division 1 Inverness Ladies turned in their best performance of the season when they demolished Hutchison Vale last weekend. Rebecca Dempster opened the scoring in the first minute and 4 goals in a devastating 9 minute spell had the visitors 5-0 ahead inside 25 mins with doubles from Natalie Bodiam and Lisa Mackenzie. Inverness continued to press forward and the lively Bodiam completed her hat trick on 37 mins when she converted another fine cross from Lorraine Cadden. Dempster then netted the goal of the game on the stroke of half time when she almost uprooted the goal frame with a 30 yard thunderbolt. The second half continued in the same vane and Mackenzie completed her hat trick on 48 mins before a spectacular 25 yard rocket from Finella Annand made it 9-0. A late double from Leanne Calder completed the scoring. The most pleasing aspect of the victory was the amount of one touch passes and possession football that leaves Inverness requiring four points from their last 2 games to clinch promotion. Kim Jappy, Sarah Main, Karen Mason (Claire Mackay 55mins), Louise Curley, Molly Alexander, Lisa Mackenzie, Lisa Glennie, Finella Annand (Leanne Calder 55mins), Rebecca Dempster, Lorraine Cadden, Natalie Bodiam.
