Scottish League Division 1 Dundee United were crowned League champions with a well deserved victory last weekend. United looked the hungrier side from the start and took a deserved lead on the 20 min mark after a swift counter attack. Inverness created very little going forward and their normal flowing passing game deserted them for long spells and it was no surprise when Dundee United doubled their lead on the stroke of half time. Two goals in five minutes at the start of the second half put the game beyond Inverness and despite a fine goal after a mazy solo run from Julia Scott, United raced up field and added a fifth. Sarah Main netted a further consolation goal in the final minute with a blistering 25 yard drive but United ran out deserved winners.
