Scottish League Division 1 Inverness travelled to Perth for their home game because their own park was unplayable and shared ten goals with Falkirk in an entertaining match. Inverness started brightly and led 2-0 after 22 mins with fine efforts from Sarah Main and Karen Mason. Claire Masterton then left the field after a horrendous late tackle that leaves her a major doubt for Thursday’s semi with Hibs. As she was being treated Falkirk pulled a goal back just before half time. Natalie Bodiam made it 3-1 on 50mins before some poor defending enabled Falkirk to score twice in 5mins to level at 3-3. Again Inverness regained the lead when Denise Mackenzie headed home a Karen Mason free kick before Falkirk firstly equalised and then took the lead for the first time with 15mins remaining, Inverness threw everything at Falkirk and were rewarded with 2mins remaining when Natalie Bodiam headed the equaliser. This was hardly the ideal preparation for the Scottish cup semi on Thursday and a dramatic improvement is required if Inverness stand any chance against the cup favourites. Team Kim Jappy, Claire Masterton, Dawn Fraser, Nicola Ross, Julie Scott, Sarah Main, Karen Mason, Denise Mackenzie, Lorraine Cadden (Eilidh Mackay 70mins), Leanne Calder, Natalie Bodiam. Unused Angie Campbell, Fiona Cuthbert. Fixture: 13-Apr-2008 |
