Scottish League Division 1 Inverness Ladies progressed to the last eight of the League Cup after a thrilling encounter last weekend. The home side produced some sparkling football and had Paisley on the back foot for long spells and it was no surprise when Natalie Bodiam fired them ahead on 15nmins. The lead was doubled 2mins later when Lorraine Cadden netted direct from a free kick. Bodiam was upended in the box and Leanne Calder netted from the spot before Cadden burst through to make it 4-0 on the half hour mark. Paisley scored twice either side of half time before Eilidh Mackay rattled the crossbar from 30yards and saw Karen Mason net the rebound on 70mins. To their credit Paisley netted twice more in the closing minutes but Inverness held out to book their place in the last eight where they travel to face Troon. Team Kim Jappy, Claire Masterton, Dawn Fraser, Samantha Hughes (Nicola Ross 70mins), Molly Alexander, Sarah Main, Karen Mason, Eilidh Mackay, Lorraine Cadden, Natalie Bodiam, Leanne Calder (Angie Campbell 70mins).
