Scottish League Division 1 Inverness continued their impressive start to the season with a hard fought win over a well organised Dalkeith side last weekend. Karen Mason had the ball in the net on 15mins but the effort was controversially ruled out before Inverness took the lead on the half hour mark. Eilidh Mackay burst through the visitors defence and sent Leanne Calder through on goal and she netted with a fine low drive. Inverness had further chances to add to their lead but Dalkeith held out until half time. The driving rain didn’t dampen the home team’s spirits and the highly impressive Calder made it 2-0 on the 55min mark. The well organised Inverness defence were coping well with Dalkeith's swift counter attacks before Finella Annand weaved her way through the visitor’s rearguard to make it 3-0 on 85mins before Dalkeith scored a deserved consolation goal in the final minute. Team Kim Jappy, Sarah Main, Dawn Fraser, Sam Hughes (Claire Masterton 15mins), Molly Alexander, Eilidh Mackay, Karen Mason, Finella Annand, Lorraine Cadden, Natalie Bodiam (Angie Campbell 76mins) Leanne Calder.
