Scottish League Division 1 Inverness extended their unbeaten run to 5 games and dented Clyde’s promotion hopes at the Bught Park last weekend. The first half was a pretty even affair before Inverness made the breakthrough on 25 mins when prolific striker Leanne Calder rounded the keeper and coolly slotted the ball home. Lorraine Cadden tormented the Clyde defence time and time again and produced several inch perfect crosses that went abegging before Clyde squandered a great opportunity to level the scores when they missed a penalty kick on the stroke of half time. Inverness upped the pace in the second half and it was no surprise when the lively Cadden made it 2-0 on 55 mins. Angie Campbell, Karen Mason, Stephanie Cameron and Leanne Calder all came close before Clyde pulled a goal back on 67mins but the home side ran out deserved winners. Team Kim Jappy, Sarah Main, Sam Hughes, Nicola Ross, Sinead Furlong (Rhian MacGillivray 45mins), Karen Mason, Fiona Cuthbert, Stephanie Cameron, Lorraine Cadden, Leanne Calder, Angie Campbell.
