Inverness completed their League cup final preparation with an eightsome reel in Dumfries last weekend. The Highland side were quickly into their stride and Karen Mason shot them ahead after 3mins before Leanne Calder doubled the lead in the 10th minute. Sarah Main made it three on 29mins with a blistering strike before Dumfries pulled one back before half-time. The second half saw Inverness even more dominant. Calder netted another 3 times as well as striking both posts. Lorraine Cadden weighed in with a late brace to complete the scoring. Fiona Cuthbert rattled the cross bar from 25 yards as the visitors turned on the style. All attention now turns to the League cup final this Saturday at McDirmid Park against Vale of Clyde, and on this performance the women have an excellent chance of lifting the trophy.
