League Cup Quarter Final Inverness stormed into the semi-final of the League Cup with a devastating display of attacking football. The home side took the initiative from the start and took the lead on 6mins when dynamic striker Leanne Calder fired them ahead. Wave after wave of attacks followed and the lead was doubled on 35mins when Sarah Main outstripped the home defence before coolly slipping the ball home. Monifeith were on the ropes and on 40mins Main again left a trail of defenders in her wake to make it 3-0 at half-time. The onslaught continued after the break and Calder made it 4-0 on 68mins with another venomous strike before Karen Mason made it five following another breathtaking move. Monifieth netted a consolation goal with a last minute penalty kick.
