Scottish League Division 1 Inverness took the points with a narrow victory over a plucky Dumfries last weekend. Despite dominating for long spells it took the home side 38mins to make the breakthrough when Kerry Smith scored with a fine strike from the edge of the box. Lorraine Cadden doubled the lead on 55mins with a stunning volley from 16yards before Dumfries raced up field and reduced the deficit on the hour mark. Leanne Calder made it 3-1 on 70 mins before Dumfries pulled it back to 3-2 with 10 mins remaining. Inverness appeared to pay the price for several missed chances when Dumfries levelled the scoring on 89mins however Lorraine Cadden burst down the wing and crossed for Karen Mason to net the winner with only seconds remaining.
