League Cup 3rd Round Inverness marched into the Quarter-Finals of the league cup with a comfortable victory last weekend thanks to a hat trick from striker Leanne Calder. Calder almost opened the scoring in the 3rd minute but was denied by the home keeper however she did but the home side ahead when she beat the offside trap to score on 9 mins. Inverness continued to press and Calder doubled the lead on 39mins with another clinical strike. The second half continued in the same vein and Calder swept home a perfect cross from Lorraine Cadden to make it 3-0 in the 49th minute to complete a sparkling hat trick. Kim Jappy was a virtual spectator in the home goal as Inverness continued to pour forward but despite several more chances they failed to add to their tally. Team Kim Jappy, Claire Masterton, Nicola Ross, Molly Alexander (Rhian MacGillivray 70mins), Samantha Hughes, Sarah Main, Stephanie Cameron ( Sinead Furlong 70mins) Karen Mason, Fiona Cuthbert ( Eilidh Mackay 60mins) Lorraine Cadden, Leanne Calder.
