Inverness Ladies got their League campaign off to a disappointing start when they were deservedly beaten 3-0 by a more hungry and determined Falkirk last weekend. The visitors started confidently enough and Leanne Calder had a fierce drive blocked by the home defence before Lorraine Cadden had a long range free kick sail narrowly past the upright before Falkirk took advantage of some poor defending to take the lead on 14 mins. Inverness fell further behind 5 mins from half time when another defensive lapse was punished by the swift Falkirk attack. The contest was effectively over on 50mins when Falkirk added a third. Calder struck the crossbar and Karen Mason came close in the dying minutes but Falkirk ran out deserved winners.
