Scottish League Division 1 Inverness Ladies continued their solid start to the season when they produced a stirring fightback from 2 goals down last weekend. Leanne Calder and Sarah Main both came close to opening the scoring before Falkirk hit the visitors with two goals in three minutes to leave them with a mountain to climb. Keeper Kim Jappy then produced a wonder save to keep Inverness in the game before the fight back began in the 25 th minute when Fiona Greig swept home a pin perfect Lorraine Cadden cross. Despite near things at both ends there were no more first half goals. The second period saw Inverness press forward on numerous occasions but were constantly thwarted by the home side’s offside tactics. With twenty minutes left Lorraine Cadden rattled the crossbar from the edge of the box. The Falkirk defence eventually cracked on 78mins when Stephanie Cameron netted from another Cadden cross and the Highland side nearly netted the winner in the last minute when the Falkirk keeper blocked a shot from Fiona Greig. Nicola Ross was named as player of the match. TEAM Kim Jappy, Claire Masterton, Nicola Ross, Karen Mason, Holly Smith, (Rhian MacGillivray 35mins), Eilidh Mackay, Sarah Main, Fiona Greig, Lorraine Cadden, Stephanie Cameron, Leanne Calder.
