Scottish League Division 1

Inverness produced another impressive performance when they held league leaders Clyde to a 1-1 draw. The first half was fairly even with neither team creating many scoring chances although the Glasgow side almost took the lead when they hit the crossbar with a quickly taken free kick. The second half opened with Clyde on the attack and home keeper Kim Jappy produced a couple of fine saves before player of the match Nicola Ross made a brilliant goal line clearance when she headed a net bound thunderbolt to safety. The home side’s efforts appeared to be in vain when their defence went to sleep at a throw in and Clyde took the lead with three minutes remaining. However the new found confidence that has spread through the team saw them snatch an equaliser in the last minute when substitute Eilidh Mackay bundled the ball over the line.

Team

Kim Jappy, Claire Masterton, Nicola Ross, Karen Mason, Dawn Fraser, Fiona Greig (Sarah Main 50mins), Molly Alexander, Fiona Cuthbert, Stephanie Cameron, Lorraine Cadden (Eilidh Mackay 70mins) Leanne Calder. Not Used: Rhian MacGillivray.
