Scottish League Division 1 Inverness continued their climb up the league Table with a comfortable victory in Glasgow last weekend. They took the lead on seven minutes when Dawn Fraser bulleted home a perfectly flighted corner from Lorraine Cadden. Baillieston squandered a good chance to equalise when they missed a penalty kick on twelve minutes. With twenty minutes gone Cadden came agonisingly close to doubling the lead when her powerful shot struck both the bar and post before rebounding to safety. Karen Mason and Leanne Calder both came close to scoring before half time. The second half saw Baillieston on the defensive for long spells and Cadden again rattled the crossbar with a thunderous 30yard free kick. Kerry Smith secured the points with a well struck shot from 25yards with 20mns remaining. Stephanie Cameron was named as player of the match with an outstanding performance in midfield. Team Kim Jappy, Claire Masterton (Rhian MacGillivray 79mins), Karen Mason, Nicola Ross, Dawn Fraser, Eilidh Mackay (Sarah Main 60mins), Molly Alexander (Fiona Greig 55mins), Stephanie Cameron, Lorraine Cadden, Kerry Smith, Leanne Calder.
